Exhibition catalog. Dec 2008- Feb 2009. Text: Gabriel Rodriguez Pascal. The monographic exhibition of these two German artists, Daniel & Geo Fuchs, is organised by the Museum of Fine Arts of Santander and by the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sports. It consists of more than 30 photographs that combine aesthetics, creativity and compromise, a wonderful collection of images of historic and artistic value to remember a long-standing period of the history of Eastern Europe. The focus is on the paraphernalia of the Ministry for State Security of East Germany, STASI, focusing on its buildings, places and files, the main secret police and intelligance organisation of the GDR which was operative between 1950, the year it was created and 1989, the year it disappeared after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
