Kutlug Ataman, in his works in the "Mesopotamian Dramaturgies" exhibition held at Arter between 15 September and 16 November 2011, investigates the construction of individual and social identities and how identity is actually something that is reconstructed over and over again, starting from her own geography. He repeatedly pointed out that geography and history were nothing more than fiction. The book published within the scope of the exhibition includes Emre Baykal's presentation, independent curator Cristiana Perella's writing and images from the works. In the appendix of the book, the Kutlug Ataman documentary DVD is presented. This 222-minute documentary film, directed by Metin Çavus, follows the artist's 15-year artistic production through pieces from his works, the artist's own words and comments by art historians and curators. | ||
