The book was edited and its introduction written under the title (Islamic Art in Cairo) by Muhammad Hamida, Professor of Art History at the Sharjah Art Institute, detailing its parts, which came in 12 sections: Architecture - Decorations and Mosaics - Ceilings - Woodwork - Doors - Ceramics - Mashrabiyas - Interior Scenes - Textiles and Carpets - Furnishing - Manuscripts - Holy Qurans
