أرتبطت حياة أبناء الإمارات بالبحر، وعقدوا معه صداقة طويلة الأمد، فأخذوا منه، و أخذ منهم، و انعكس ذلك في حياتهم الأدبية، فكان نتاج ذلك مصطلحات و أشعار و أمثال و سوالف (هل) البحر و فنون غنائية. بهذا تشكّل أدب رائق عرف بالأدب البحري، له مقوماته و أسلوبه و ألفاظه، و شمل بذلك رحلة الغوص و أسما الأسماك و أدوات الصيد، و أسماء الهيرات و الل}ل}، بالإضافة إلى المصطلحات البحرية الخالصة. كل ذلك في شقي الأدب: الشعر و النثر

Title translation: The sea/ocean in Emirati popular culture. Author: Fahd Ali Al Mo'ammari. ---- The lives of the people of the Emirates are linked to the sea, and they have formed a long-lasting friendship with it. They took from it, and it took from them, and this was reflected in their literary life, resulting in terms, poems, proverbs, sea tales, and lyrical arts. Thus, a fine literature known as marine literature was formed, with its own components, style, and vocabulary. This included diving trips, fish names, fishing tools, in addition to purely marine terminology. All of this is in the two branches of literature: poetry and prose.
