<br/><br/> Pioneering Iraqi photographer born in Karbala 1932, Lateef Al Ani never formally studied photography but he was trained by several professional photographers when he took employment with the British-owned Iraqi Petroleum Company (IPC). The nature of his work required him to travel all over Iraq and photograph landscapes, townscapes, monuments, special events, and people from all walks of life.
