تمثل الأغنية الشعبية اليوم صورة عملية و مباشرة للفنون الشعبية، بمجموعات الم}دين و الراقصين و العازفين، و تشكل مجتمعة أهمية خاصة تتشابه في أهميتها بالغذاء و الشراب، و هي حس و هوس و اهتمام شبه يومي قديماً كان أو حديثاً، وان اختلفت الأسماء و الكلمات و الأداء و المؤدين، و حتى الجمهور بما تقتضيه ديمومة و صيرورة الأوقات و اللأحداث للإنسان نفسه و الحيوات التي تعيش و تتعايش معه.
