Kouaci closely followed the Algerian revolution, the country's independence (1962), and its consequences. Interview with Caroline Hancock.  Zineb Sedira calls herself a 'guardian of memory', having worked with her own parents, especially her mother, on the subject of the Algerian War, where memory and oral transmission have been key issues.
