Exhibition catalog. Jun-Sep 2016. Developed around the concepts of "gravity" and "gravity", the exhibition "Not All Those Who Fall Have Wings" addresses the act of falling beyond its initial connotations as a physical fall, a consequence of clumsiness or inadequacy, or the inevitable end brought about by ill fate/curse. This book, which accompanies the exhibition "Not All Those Who Fall Have Wings" featuring works by Bas Jan Ader, Phyllida Barlow, Cyprien Gaillard, Ryan Gander, Mikhail Karikis & Uriel Orlow, VOID and Anne Wenzel, brings together a common interest in themes surrounding the concepts of "falling" and "failure". Selen Ansen's extensive curatorial framework text and the articles written for this book by writer Emre Ayvaz from Istanbul and art historian Barış Acar from Vienna are accompanied by images of the works in the exhibition.
