N2  - THE SPECTER OF ANCESTORS BECOMING. On the occasion of the 14th edition of the Dakar Biennale, as part of the OFF program, RAW Material Company cordially invites you to the opening of the exhibition The specter of Ancestors Becoming on Sunday May 22nd from 1pm. 

For the past four years, along with artist Tuan Andrew Nguyen and the majority of the Vietnamese-Senegalese community, RAW Material Company has been committed to bringing out of the shadows and shedding light on the stories of this community’s strong female figures - mothers and pillars of families that are an integral part of the Senegalese social fabric. 

The Specter of Ancestors Becoming, 2019 4-channel video installation was commissioned and produced by Sharjah Art Foundation with additional production support from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
