جاءت هذه الدراسة في الوقت الذي تتسع فيه دائرة الحداثة: نتيجة للتقدم العلمي الذي شمل العالم بعد الثورة الصناعية، و انتشار وسائل الإتصال و المواصلات، التي أصبح البعيد فيها قريباً، و تراجعت أو اختفت من الوجود العديد من وسائل الحياة القديمة، التي لا نراها اليوم إلا في المتاحف، و لم تعد الحيوانات وسائل نقل المياه من مصادرها إلى حيث يسكن الناس؛ لأن وسائل المواصلات الحديثة وضت الإنسان عنها جميعاً.

This study comes at a time when the circle of modernity is expanding: as a result of the scientific progress that has encompassed the world after the Industrial Revolution, and the spread of means of communication and transportation, in which the distant has become close, and many of the ancient means of life have declined or disappeared from existence, which we only see today in museums, and animals are no longer the means of transporting water from its sources to where people live; because modern means of transportation have replaced humans with all of them.
