Balkowitsch continues his photographic series using the wet-plate collodion technique to document contemporary portraits of Native American individuals from the Northern Plains. This volume presents his third installment in a project aimed at creating 1,000 such portraits, emphasizing dignity, cultural identity, and collaboration. The portraits are paired with the subjects’ names, tribal affiliations, and dates, allowing a considered and respectful engagement with each person and their story.
