Exhibition catalog . Texts: Hu Fang and Firenze Lai. Firenze Lai is an artist living and working in Hong Kong. Among the compilation of monochrome sketches and drawings, most of them make sense on their own, while some others are developed into larger-scale paintings. Portraiture is one of Lai's favorite subjects, as she realizes how human faces bridge individual spirit and the outer world. Regarding human body, which is also interconnected with the mind, the artist expresses the unease of getting along with one self.
