The book addresses the issue of union and political organization in Egypt, focusing on peasant struggles. It seeks to clarify this issue through political literature and practical experiences, presenting the fundamental principles that must be considered when forming organizations to align with Egypt’s social, political, and cultural conditions. The book illustrates the application of these principles through a practical example from the village of Kafr Qamshish in Monufia, where these principles were applied in the 1950s and 1980s after the village leaders returned from a four-year exile in Upper Egypt. The book explains how an emphasis on mass activism, while neglecting organizational structure, led to diminished outcomes of this struggle and weakened the protection of leaders, especially the martyr Salah Hussein.
