By Muhammad AbdulBasit Eid. يسعى هذا الكتاب إلى تقديم قراءة شاملة لمعلقة امرئ القيس من خلال وجهتين رئيسيتين: الأولى هي تتبع تاريخ النقد والأدب الذي تناول هذه المعلقة على مر العصور، بدءًا من الشروح القديمة وصولًا إلى النظريات والمناهج المعاصرة. الهدف من هذا التتبع هو فهم التنوع الكبير في القراءات التي قدمت للمعلقة وكيف أن كل قراءة تعكس البيئة الثقافية والفكرية التي أنتجتها. أما الوجهة الثانية فهي تقديم قراءة تأويلية جديدة للمعلقة من منظور حجاجي، أي محاولة فهم كيف أن المعلقة هي خطاب جمالي يتفاعل مع قرائه في كل عصر. يسعى النص إلى استكشاف الجماليات العربية في العصر الجاهلي من خلال تحليل معلقة امرئ القيس، وذلك بهدف تجديد الوعي بهذه الجماليات واستيعابها في سياق المعرفة المعاصرة. باختصار، يهدف الكتاب إلى تقديم قراءة متعددة الأبعاد لمعلقة امرئ القيس، تجمع بين التأصيل التاريخي والنقدي وبين التأويل المعاصر، وذلك بهدف فهم هذه المعلقة كعمل أدبي حيوي يتجاوز حدود الزمان والمكان. المعلقات هي عدة قصائد مشهورة على نطاق واسع من مجموعة القصائد العربية ما قبل الإسلام، وسميت بهذا الاسم لأنه يقال أنها كانت تزين جدران الكعبة، ذلك الموقع الديني المقدس الذي كان، حتى ذلك الحين، مركزًا للعبادة والحج على نطاق واسع. كان امرئ القيس شاعراً محارباً من القرن السادس الميلادي، ألف إحدى المعلقات ، وكان، مثل العديد من معاصريه، يركز على موضوعات تتعلق بالفروسية العربية: إغواء المرأة، وترويض الوحوش العظيمة، والمهارة في استخدام السيوف والسهام، والنصر في المعارك. The mu’allaqat — literally, the ‘hanging ones’ — are several widely renowned poems of the pre-Islamic Arabic corpus, so named because they’re said to have adorned the walls of the Ka’ba, that holy religious site which, even then, was a center of widespread worship and pilgrimage. Imru’ al-Qays was a 6th century warrior-poet who composed one of the mu’allaqat, and who, like many of his contemporaries, focused on themes relating to Arab chivalry: the seduction of woman, taming of great beasts, skill with swords and arrows, and victory in battles. This book aims to provide a comprehensive reading of Imru’ al-Qais' Mu'allaqa from two primary perspectives. The first is to trace the history of criticism and literature that has addressed this Mu'allaqa throughout the ages, starting from ancient commentaries and reaching contemporary theories and approaches. The goal of this tracing is to understand the great diversity of readings that have been presented for the Mu'allaqa and how each reading reflects the cultural and intellectual environment that produced it. The second perspective is to present a new interpretive reading of the Mu'allaqa from a rhetorical standpoint, meaning an attempt to understand how the Mu'allaqa is an aesthetic discourse that interacts with its readers in every era. The text seeks to explore Arabic aesthetics in the pre-Islamic era through an analysis of Imru’ al-Qais' Mu'allaqa, with the aim of renewing awareness of these aesthetics and understanding them within the context of contemporary knowledge. In short, the book aims to provide a multi-dimensional reading of Imru’ al-Qais' Mu'allaqa, combining historical and critical grounding with contemporary interpretation. The goal is to understand this Mu'allaqa as a vibrant literary work that transcends the boundaries of time and place
