هناك عدة قضايا للفن تثير الفضول و تحتاج إلى بعض الإيضاح كقضية وحدة الفنون و الخلق الفني و الشكل و المضمون و علاقة الفن بالمجتمع والأخلاق و غير ذلك من القضايا التي تناولها الكتاب بالإضافة إلى التعريف بنظريات حديثة للفن لم تنشر بمصر من قبل مثل نظريات برجسون و بولفاليري و فورينجر و العلاقة بين الموسيقى و التصوير.
