Escher visited the Alhambra in Granada twice: in 1922 and in 1936. This second visit, which was 75 years old in 2011, marked a before and after in the artist's work. 'M.C. Escher: Infinite Universes' is the catalog of the commemorative exhibition that between March 29, 2011 and January 8, 2012 offered simultaneously by the Science Park of Granada and the Chapel of the Palace of Carlos V (Alhambra). The book includes the evolution of the work of the Dutch engraver and the analysis of the influence of the Alhambra on his artistic vision, as well as the reproduction of the 135 works in the exhibition, from the Escher Foundation.
