Exhibition catalog. Oct-Nov 2006. TWS; Nichido Contemporary Art. Portrait of a teenagers' community. Between 2004 and 2005, Emmanuelle Antille has realized a body of work using photography and video on a teenage group's intimacy and rituals. Living in suburban no-man's-land, these teenagers are portrayed as individuals as much as a community. Between fiction and documentary, this work by the Swiss artist Emmanuelle Antille is published here for the first time, on the occasion of her project at Tokyo Wonder Site. The publication is part of the series of artist's projects edited by Christoph Keller. Emmanuelle Antille (born 1972 in Lausanne) studied at ESAV in Geneva and at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Since 1995, she has been developing her artistic practice both as a video artist and filmmaker. She is also a professor at the HEAD in Geneva.
