Palermo Atlas served as tool of mediation between the city and Minfesta, and as a base for the curatorial concept of Manifesta 12. It has been used transversally by the Manifesta 12 creative mediators and artists to approach the multiple aspects that make Palermo a crucial place for understanding and exploring key transformations of our times, and to engage with the city and its inhabitants on a long-term perspective. By reconciling the local and global dimensions, the Atlas reveals a geography shaped by flows on a planetary scale.
