She believes that "in ways that are often not possible in the West, and the ways in which Asian curators are able to re-define certain ideas in curatorial practice [...] as I feel you have exciting opportunities to do things differently and by doing so, define modes of practice which are relevant to your unique contexts."〔29〕It is with this intention that this paper attempts to identify contemporary curatorial practices in Taiwan through interviews and observations of these five curators who have received curatorial grants from NCAF.
