Summary, etc.	Title translation: Quote: From Literature to Cinema - Milestones in a Shared History- By Mubarak Salmi and Walid Al Khashaab فى السبعينات والثمانينات ظهرت أجيال جديدة من الأدباء والسينمائيين الثائرين على تقاليد الكتابة وقيود السوق والمنفتحين على التجريب. فى هذه الأجواء بزغت الكتابة الجديدة بالتوازي مع ظهور سينما المؤلف، التى أولت ظهرها للأدب وسعت لتدعيم مفهوم السينما كفن مستقل. بالرغم من ذلك لجأ بعض المخرجين لاقتباس روايات جيل الستينات المجدؚدَة، التي تفكك السرد وتعارض نظام القيم المجتمعى والخطابات السائدة. فاقتبس مثلا داوود عبد السيد "مالك الحزين" لابراهيم أصلان واجتذبه داخل العالم الخاص به كمخرج مؤلف. ثم شهدت التسعينات وبدايات الألفية الثانية تحولاً فى المشهد الأدبى مع ظهور الأعمال "الأكثر مبيعا" التي تستدعى التأثير العاطفى للخيال وتبحث عن متعة القراءة. فقدم علاء الأسوانى وأحمد مراد مثلاً أعمالاً أدبية تحولت إلى أفلام ناجحة محلياً ودولياً. وبدا أن حركة الاقتباس السينمائى تسعى لاستثمار تيار"الأكثر مبيعا" لدى قارئ الأدب المعاصر، وظهر ما يشبه التنافس وأحيانا التكامل بين الأدب والسينما لاجتذاب هذا المتلقى الجديد، فى تحول يؤسس لرؤى متكافئة بين الفنين تتجاوز تاريخا طويلا من التراتبية التى باعدت بينهما. In the seventies and eighties, new generations of writers and filmmakers emerged, rebelling against the traditions of writing and market restrictions, and open to experimentation. In this atmosphere, new writing emerged in parallel with the emergence of author cinema, which turned its back to literature and sought to support the concept of cinema as an independent art. Despite this, some directors resorted to quoting the novels of the 1960s generation, which deconstructs the narrative and opposes the societal value system and prevailing discourses. For example, Daoud Abdel Sayed quoted Ibrahim Aslan’s “Malik al-Hazlan” and drew him into his own world as an author-director. Then the nineties and the beginning of the second millennium witnessed a shift in the literary scene with the emergence of “best-selling” works that invoke the emotional impact of imagination and seek the pleasure of reading. Alaa Al-Aswany and Ahmed Murad, for example, presented literary works that were turned into successful films locally and internationally. It seemed that the cinematic adaptation movement was seeking to capitalize on the trend of “bestsellers” among the reader of contemporary literature, and what looked like competition and sometimes integration between literature and cinema appeared to attract this new audience, in a shift that establishes equal visions between the two arts that go beyond a long history of hierarchy that separated them.
