نُشر النص – الذي نقدم ترجمته العربية في هذا الكتاب – لأول مرة في شتاء عام ۱۹٧۱ في الدورية اليسارية البريطانية الشهيرة ” نيو ليفت ريفيو “، تحت عنوان “الطبيعة الطبقية للمجتمع الإسرائيلي”. ومنذ ذلك الحين أعيد نشره مرات عدة، سواء منفردًا أو ضمن نصوص أخرى تخص “المنظمة الاشتراكية الإسرائيلية” (ماتزبن). ورغم قدم النص، و ورغم حاجة التحليل الوارد به إلى التحديث والمراجعة، إلا أنه أصبح يعتبر الآن وثيقة كلاسيكية، بما يحويه من رؤية طبقية أممية لطبيعة الدولة الصهيونية العنصرية الاستعمارية. تطرح دراسة “الطبيعة الطبقية للمجتمع الإسرائيلي” أن العنصر الحاكم للتفاعلات داخل المجتمع الغسرائيلي هو طبيعته الاستيطانية، وليس الصراع الطبقي الداخلي كما هو الحال في المجتمعات الرأسمالية التقليدية. وبهذا المعنى فإنه لا يمكن فهم إسرائيل خارج وظيفتها ككلب حراسة للمصالح الإمبريالية في الشرق الأوسط وخارجه، وخارج طبيعتها العدوانية تجاه البلدان الأخرى في المنطقة. |
