Summary, etc. FLEE's new project focuses on the music of pearl fishermen in the Arabian-Persian Gulf and aims to honor the memory of divers, their culture and their music. The vinyl (available separately or as part of a bundle) features never-before-released original recordings of pearl divers and modern compositions inspired by them by artists like Tomaga, YPY, Ben Bertrand, Tarek Yamani or Hieroglyphic Being. The book, for its part, gives pride of place to contributions from experts and artists from the region in order to contextualize the extremely rich theme of the pearling industry, its culture and more particularly its music. , also mixing contemporary photographs, archive images and historical testimonies.
