إن الثقافات البشرية كلها تواجه اليوم تحولاً ثقافياً واجتماعياً متسارعاً ومليئاً بالتحديات، وتلعب الصورة المنتجة عن هذه الثقافة أو تلك دوراً مهماً، والثقافة التي تنتج صوراً جديدة هي التي سيكون بمقدورها تحقيق موقع آمن لها. ولا سبيل إلى التفاعل الحي والإيجابي إلا عبر دخول العالم بشروطه ومنطقه الحديد، إذ لم يعد المنطق القديم ولا الأساليب القديمة كافية لتمثيل الذات ولا قادرة على المواجهة. ولم يعد، خاصة، منطق التحصن والدفاع عن الهوية كافياً لأداء دور حضاري وتحقيق موقع متقدم في الحضارة. وهذه مدعومة بإنتاج معرفي وفكري ينتج صورة قادرة على الخروج ومواجهة العالم.
