Ever since Athr Gallery got acquainted with Sami Alturki's talent, passion and artistic philosophy, it committed to supporting him every step of the way; strongly believing in his ability; through his art, to communicate relevant yet timeless, broad yet very personal messages. Sami's concepts and technique evolved into complex territory both conceptually and visually. His latest residency at OMI in New York was a catalyst in helping him deconstruct and reconstruct the elements, concept and execution of a project he has been working on for the last two years. The result is his series Barzakh, and his first solo exhibition in Saudi Arabia at Athr Gallery, From There, To Here & Inevitably Into Eternity. Opening: Wednesday, 25th of September, 2013.
