Emergence of fine art in all the Arab countries, the names of its pioneers and the importance of its development.
The Al-Jasra Cultural Club has recently published (the double issue six and seven, Summer and Fall 2015) of the “Arab Visual Artist” magazine, a quarterly magazine concerned with Arab and international visual arts. Its board of directors is headed by Ibrahim Al-Jaidah, and Ghazi An’eem is the general editorial supervisor of the magazine, while critic and artist Mohammed Al-Amri has been assigned the task of editorial secretary.
The issue includes many topics by writers and researchers from Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Palestine in the fields of visual arts. The cover features a sculpture by the Arab-Egyptian sculptor Adam Henein. The editorial of the issue, written by An’eem, states: With this issue, the magazine ends its second consecutive year regularly, and the magazine’s success and goals in embracing Arab artistic research are evident. This reflects the extent of Al-Jasra Cultural Club’s interest in the visual arts after Al-Jasra Club completed its responsibility towards the visual arts, and to deepen the philosophy of its pioneering role as a club that bears the responsibility of the enlightenment project.
